Ukrainian attacking midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi scored twice in Atalanta’s 3-0 victory against Olympiacos today, in the second round of the Europa League. At the celebration, he displayed a phrase on his shirt asking that there be no war in Ukraine amid conflict with Russia.
“No war in Ukraine” was the phrase written on a white T-shirt that Malinovskyi wore under his Atalanta uniform.
The Italian team opened the scoring with Maehle in the first half, while Malinovskyi scored twice in a three-minute break in the second half.
The 3-0 victory secured Atalanta in the round of 16 of the Europa League.
