Ukrainian Refugees Stranded in Lunel Receives Support from the Community

Seventy Ukrainians, mainly women and children, were received in Lunel (Hérault) on Thursday when their bus broke down on the A9 motorway. According to Montpellier Gazettethese passengers, refugees in Spain because of the war, were returning from a trip to Ukraine to visit their families.

These castaways from the road were welcomed at the Arnassan hall, while waiting for the missing parts to repair the bus. Cold drinks, coffee, tea, and mattresses were dispatched by the municipality, so that these castaways could rest. The Solidarité Ukraine 34 association was also asked to help welcome passengers and facilitate exchanges, explains the town hall of Lunel.
