Ukrainian rapper Potap October 18 on Instagram posted a selfie showing him wearing the same vest in which he was taken at the Warsaw airport (Poland) and on board a plane to Barcelona (Spain). The artist poses in the frame against a gray wall.
“And I’m sailing between concerts, but always home. A few days on the road and the day after tomorrow my relatives,” he wrote.
Potap posted his post immediately after Ukrainian blogger Bogdan Bespalov published photographs in which the artist was captured with his wife and colleague Nastya Kamenskikh abroad.
The artist did not specify how exactly he left Ukraine during martial law. There were no announcements of foreign concerts on either Potap’s page or the Kamensky page. Before the photos were published online, the couple did not advertise that they had left Ukraine.
Context:
After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops on the morning of February 24, 2022, President Vladimir Zelensky declared martial law and general mobilization. The last time the Rada continued martial law was on November 15, 2023.
Men aged 18–60 years are subject to conscription for military service during mobilization. These men are prohibited from traveling abroad without special permits.
