The movement of the Russian army is also said to be getting closer to the outskirts of Kiev.
“We are fighting only for our land and our freedom. We want to see our children live. I think this is something that is fair,” Zelensky was quoted as saying. CNN.

Zelensky also said, “We have proven our strength. So now prove it if you (European Union) stand with us. Prove it that you will not let us go. Prove that you are all Europeans.”
In addition to receiving a warm welcome from the entire European Union parliament, the English translator was also moved by Zelensky’s speech.
When translating Zelensky’s speech, the interpreter of the European Union parliament in charge sounded haltingly moved by the president’s statement.
Zelensky had previously also asked the European Union to immediately accept membership through a special channel against his country in the midst of the Russian invasion.
“Our goal is to be with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be equal. I believe it is fair. I believe we deserve it,” he said in a short video on social media, Monday (28/2).
Ukraine itself is not currently a member of the European Union, although since 2014 it has been discussed and is considered one of the important EU partners in trade.
Geographically, Ukraine is directly adjacent to four EU members, namely Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
