Ukrainian President’s “Peace Formula” Takes Center Stage at Saudi Arabia Summit

According to the head of the Presidential Office, some parties have significantly changed their position regarding what is happening in Ukraine and the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation.

“Today, one of the partners told me: “You can’t even imagine what a great job you are doing, because representatives of one country only two months ago spoke about the war in Russian narratives. And now they have begun to understand what is really happening, and after a lot of work done by you, their position has undergone a big change, “” the publication says.

August 5 bilateral meetings were held with heads of delegations from the United States, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Japan, Qatar, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Turkey, Poland and Slovakia.

August 6 Negotiations were held with national security and foreign policy advisers to the leaders of Sweden, South Africa, Bahrain, Canada, Italy, Denmark, the Republic of Korea, as well as with the head of the cabinet of the President of the European Commission.

At a two-day meeting in Saudi Arabia, which took place on the weekend of August 5-6, the Ukrainian “peace formula” was the main topic. The meeting was first reported by The Wall Street Journal. Later, the information was confirmed in the Office of the President.

Representatives of more than 40 countries were invited to the summit, including India, Brazil, Indonesia, Egypt, Mexico and China.

Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, following the summit, said that some of the representatives had different views, but all countries showed commitment to the principles of the UN Charter, international law and respect for the sovereignty and inviolability of the territorial integrity of states.

According to Der Spiegel, the peace summit on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia ended without a final communiqué, but with “positive signals” from China.
