“Unfortunately, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has a positive test for a coronavirus infection Covid-19. The head of state is feeling well and continues to perform his duties remotely in self-isolation,” the president’s office said in a statement. “We will report on the situation of the president and office staff.”
Ukraine has been hit hard by the second wave of the coronavirus and currently has more than 8,000 infections a day. A total of 469,018 people were infected with the coronavirus during the pandemic in Ukraine, but more than 8,500 died.
