Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned European leaders that Russia could rebuild its military capabilities and attack other countries within five years if the continent wavered in its support for Kiev.
Zelensky also said while attending the European Political Group summit in Spain that he was confident that American and European financial aid would continue despite the “political storms” in Washington and elsewhere.
Zelensky told the meeting held in the city of Granada, about four thousand kilometers west of Kharkiv, that by providing additional military equipment to Ukraine, European countries can help ensure that any “drone, tank, or any other Russian weapon will not hit anyone.” Another in Europe.
He added, “We must not allow (Russian President Vladimir) Putin to destabilize any other part of the world or our partners with the aim of weakening the power of Europe.”
He added, “The presence of Russia, whether with its army or its agents, on the territory of any other country represents a threat to all of us. We must work together to expel Russia from the territory of other countries.”
The European International Community was established last year after the Ukraine war and aims to enhance cooperation between more than 40 countries from Norway to Moldova.
commitment
For his part, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Ukraine can continue to rely on European support.
He added, “There is a very strong and strong commitment because we all know that we are talking about Europe and the possibility of achieving lasting peace on our continent.”
Countries also made pledges in Granada.
German Chancellor Olaf Schulz said that his country is working to supply an additional Patriot air defense missile system to Ukraine in the winter months, while a government source said that Spain has offered Kiev six other Hawk air defense systems to protect the grain corridor and the country’s vital infrastructure.
Zelensky said that he discussed with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez a new military aid package, energy aid, and ways to keep a Black Sea corridor open to Ukrainian grain exports.
