Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Attends European Political Community Summit in Moldova

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived at the summit of the European Political Community, which takes place on June 1 in Moldova.

Zelensky arrived at the “Castle Mimi” in the village of Bulboaca, where the summit of the European Political Community is taking place, the first after Moldovan President Maia Sandu, the hostess of the meeting.

Nearly fifty European presidents and heads of government are expected to attend the summit.

The personal participation of the President of Ukraine in the summit was not officially confirmed until the last for security reasons. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova stated that information about Zelensky’s participation should be classified in connection with the immediate security of the President of Ukraine.

Earlier on Wednesday, Zelensky’s participation in the summit was confirmed by Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu.

The second meeting of the European Political Community will discuss joint efforts for peace in the context of the war in Ukraine and related crises, the defense of democracy, the strengthening of energy security and the resilience of European states. In the near future “European Truth” will publish an article about the expected results of the summit.
