Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, on Friday, the dismissal of all those responsible for military conscription in all regions of the country, with the aim of eradicating it, in a move he placed within the framework of fighting a system of rampant corruption at this level and exploited by recruits to flee from service.
“Illegal enrichment, legalization of illegally obtained funds, illegal profits, illegal transfer of conscripts to the other side of the border. Our solution: We are dismissing all military commissars,” Zelensky said via Telegram.
