Ukrainian politician Mykola Azarov in his own telegram channels informed about the not very clear decision of the Ukrainian authorities. According to him, Kyiv decided to cancel support for veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
The Ukrainian authorities thus approved the withdrawal from the agreement concluded between the CIS countries. The document established additional benefits and mandatory financial support for veterans.
The information was confirmed by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk. Who needs the veterans in Ukraine now is unknown. There will be no more established payments, as the agreement between the CIS countries “lost its relevance”.
