Literally: “What is the main thing that the World Formula can do? Very important things.
First: The Peace Formula ensures the full force of the UN Charter to stop aggression against our state and eliminate its consequences, and therefore can subsequently become a model for similar provision of the full force of international law in the event of other aggressions.
Second: The Peace Formula allows each country to become a leader in its part of the effort to restore peace and to play an independent role in co-creating peace.
And third, our joint efforts are establishing a new world tradition of unity – a unity that, by helping one country end a war, helps us learn how to end all wars.”
Details: Zelensky noted that there is no part of the earth that would not have known human blood spilled in battles, but expressed the desire that one day the history of people would become the history of the world exclusively.
“We see such a desire in the basis of international law and the UN Charter. But does the UN Charter work? And here, in Ukraine, and in the Middle East, and in African countries, the answer to this question is the crying of mothers who bury their sons and daughters, killed by wars, and the despair of children whom wars make orphans. We can and must give a different answer. The world has already seen too much blood,” the president emphasized.
What preceded: On Saturday, the third meeting began in Malta to prepare for the summit on the implementation of the “Formula of Peace” proposed by Ukraine, more than 65 states are represented at it.
At the first session of the meeting, Ukraine together with partners presented five points of the Ukrainian World Formulaon which the working groups worked, and their vision of implementation.
