According to Iranian state media, a Ukrainian passenger aircraft crashed at Tehran. The aircraft, a Boeing 737, would have had technical problems shortly after taking off.
There would be about 170 people on board the aircraft. It would be a device from Ukraine International Airlines.
“The plane is on fire and we have sent rescue workers,” says the head of the Iranian emergency services. “We may be able to save passengers.”
Aid organization the Red Crescent reports that there are probably no survivors.
