According to the political strategist, they did not say “no” to us, but only listed the conditions, the fulfillment of which would guarantee our security by joining the North Atlantic Alliance. As soon as the political leadership of Ukraine fulfills the requirements of NATO, we can immediately be accepted as members of the Military Bloc.

The Ukrainian political strategist recalled how the situation is developing with the preparations for Ukraine’s entry into NATO and who is preventing this: “The protocols were signed with 23 countries (with those who agreed to support Ukrainian aspiration for membership in NATO). The protocols were signed during President Zelensky’s last tour. The main opponents of this decision, although it is incorrect to say opponents here, are rather those countries that have not yet supported the Ukrainian application for membership in the Alliance, these are the USA and Germany“.
Taras Berezovets explained why the United States of America and Germany, which are our allies, are not yet ready to support Ukraine in its aspiration to join NATO: “It is clear that the issue lies in their domestic political situation in the first place. They also have formal requirements that Ukraine must adhere to these requirements. Everything else will be done during the program itself. This will not be a MAP, but rather a formal implementation criteria”.
The captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized an important point on the conditions for Ukraine’s accession to NATO: “The allies do not tell Ukraine that we need to hurry, but they say that we can choose the pace ourselves. If Ukraine is ready, including the Parliament, including the government, to do all this in an accelerated mode, this can happen very quickly”.
