The Ukrainian national team took first place in the team all-around at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2020, which is being held in Mersin, Turkey.
Petr Pakhnyuk, Igor Radivilov, Vladislav Griko, Yevgeny Yudenkov, Roman Vashchenko took the lead after the first round and did not let it go to the end.
As a result, Ukraine (248.963) was ahead of Turkey (244.793) by four points and Hungary (240.393) by four more.
It is worth noting that at this European Championship Ukraine is playing without the leader of the national team Oleg Vernyaev, whom the coaches decided to keep amid microtraumas.
Also, due to the coronavirus, many leading teams – Russia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland and others – miss the European championship.
The European Championship will conclude on Sunday, December 13, with personal finals. Ukrainians will perform in all six finals.
