Ukrainian Minister of Defense denies issue of Commander-in-Chief resignation amid conflict with President Zelensky

The issue of the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is not on the agenda. This was stated by the country’s Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.

“In this regard, there is no such question. I know they are rocking him internally and externally,” Umerov said, the Ukrainian newspaper “Suspilne” reports. He promised to inform about personnel changes within the ministry.

In Ukraine, a conflict is developing between the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. URA.RU said that, according to the Financial Times, the main reason was the information coverage of events at the front. Besides, weakening military assistance from the United States and failure to admit mistakes at the front are leading to a drop in Zelensky’s rating, The Times writes. At the same time, according to the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, the West began to look for replacement Zelensky.
