According to the military, training centers produce 800-900 fighters per year instead of four thousand.
Most training centers for conscripts in Ukraine are corrupt, no one wants to work there and many sabotage the educational process.
This was stated in an exclusive interview with TSN.UA by a former Azov fighter, fighter of the 3rd Special Brigade and instructor of the Military School of Commanders named after Colonel Yevgeny Konovalets with the call sign “Maktavish”.
“A lot of people in training centers sabotage the educational process. That is, we now all see that we are sending recruits abroad for training in Britain, Germany and so on, thinking that this is being done in order to simply train personnel faster,” says the military man.
According to him, all this can be done on the territory of Ukraine. However, our training centers, which can produce four thousand trained fighters per year, only 800-900 people graduate.
“That is, an entire training center, a large department with its own staff of instructors, cannot properly fulfill its responsibilities in training people. And we have to send people abroad to get some experience. We can do this independently at our own level. What I already talked about: to take a certain part of experienced people from the front to these training centers,” said MacTavish.
In addition, it is necessary change the Soviet system approach to training in the centers, says the military man.
“Because they still teach there in most cases from old books. For example, advancing along the front with equipment almost shouting “hurray.” People are being taught what no longer works. There is no need to do this. We just waste time on things we don’t need. We really need to change the educational process, because the system there is soviet. It has taken root, holds on and only grows. Everyone talks about units, brigades, who is fighting where, and everyone forgets about those units that give us new people. Everything is corrupt, no one wants to work there and very often they sabotage the educational process,” the military man said.
According to him, in some situations it comes to the point that the military is not given permissionorders for conducting classes.
“And you are faced with the fact that you have a company of people who need to be taught and the understanding that you will not be allowed to do this. These people will simply go to a unit in a month, after sitting in tents at the training ground, and without experience, without skills, they may already die in a week. This is a huge problem,” says MacTavish.
