Ukrainian Military Reports Destruction of 292,060 Russian Occupiers in Ongoing Conflict

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian military has destroyed about 292,060 Russian occupiers. About this General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported October 20 on Facebook.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated about 1,380 invaders.

Other losses of the occupiers in Ukraine were:

tanks – 5047 (+55); armored combat vehicles – 9557 (+120); artillery systems – 7012(+29); MLRS – 822 (+4); air defense systems – 548; airplanes – 320; helicopters – 324; Operational-tactical level UAV – 5326 (+8); cruise missiles – 1535 (+1); ships/boats – 20; submarine – 1; automotive equipment and tank trucks – 9370 (+33); special equipment – ​​985.

The General Staff noted that the data is being clarified.

Context:

The aggressor country of the Russian Federation launched a war against Ukraine in 2014, when it occupied Crimea and parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine from the northern, eastern and southern directions.

In April, defense forces expelled the invaders from the northern regions of Ukraine, and in the fall they deoccupied parts of the Kherson, Nikolaev and Kharkov regions.

On June 5, 2023, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced that in some areas the defense forces had switched to offensive actions. Later there were reports of the de-occupation of settlements in the east and south.

In October, the occupiers launched an offensive near Avdiivka, trying to surround the city. The most intense fighting is now taking place there and in the Liman-Kupyansk direction.
