The brigade posted a video on its Facebook page with military personnel stationed in Kleshchievka. The military reported that the village was liberated by soldiers of the 80th separate air assault brigade, the 5th separate assault brigade, and the Lyut brigade from the Offensive Guard.
“But the enemy is constantly trying to inflict maximum harm on our soldiers and uses all possible means of fire,” the servicemen noted.
Let us note that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its evening report for September 17 did not mention the liberation of Kleshchievka, but said that the military in the Kleshchievka area repelled 5 enemy attacks, and also continued offensive operations near Bakhmut.

Zelensky thanked for the liberation of Kleschiyivka
President Vladimir Zelensky also announced the liberation of Kleshchiyivka and thanked the military who drove the occupiers out of the village.
“And today I would especially note the soldiers who, step by step, are returning what they have to Ukraine in the Bakhmut region. The 80th DShV brigade, the 5th separate assault brigade, the glorious 95th and the United Assault Brigade of the National Police “Lyut”. Kleshcheevka! Well done.” , he said in an evening address.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive near Bakhmut
