The expert believes that Ukraine has enough means to successfully shoot down Russian planes.
Military expert Roman Svitan suggests that a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Sea of Azov could have shot down a Western F-16 or Reaper fighter.
The expert expressed this opinion on the air of the program “Argument” on the Unian YouTube channel.

“It’s very difficult to restore it, although the Russians are already trying. They launched another A-50 to “watch”. But it will most likely end badly. We have a sufficient number of mechanisms on how this A could be destroyed at such a range – 50,” Svitan is sure.
In addition to this version, the expert voiced two more that could destroy the A-50. This:
- Patriot with a range of 150 km, which is already operating in Ukraine;
- a certain French missile system with missiles of certain modifications (Aster 30) with a range of up to 300 km;
“Such a “barn with wings” is a very good goal, it lights up like a Christmas tree for any system that can get in range,” he concluded.
