KYIV, June 17 (Reuters) – Ukrainian military spokesman said on Thursday that the reversal offensive against Russian forces had achieved further results on the southeastern front.
Ukrainian forces said the day before that they had recaptured the eastern village of Urozhayne in the eastern Donetsk region from Russian forces, but there were also developments to the south of Urozhayne. Details have not been disclosed.
It was the first time since July 27 that the Ukrainian army had announced that it had retaken the village.
The spokesman also said heavy fighting was taking place in the northeastern province of Kharkiv, as well as in eastern settlements not far from the strategic town of Bakhmut in Donetsk province.
