Ukrainian Himars rockets hit Russian soldiers during morning assembly: reports

Russian soldiers who had assembled for the morning assembly on Tuesday morning were hit by Ukrainian Himars rockets, according to several media.

Himars is a very modern rocket artillery that Ukraine is supplied with by the USA.

According to the unconfirmed reports, which are reproduced by, among other things BBC’s Russian-language servicethe soldiers were lined up outside in connection with a visit from a high-ranking general, Oleg Moiseyev.

This despite the fact that the town of Volnovakha in the Donetsk region, where the attack took place, is very close to the front. This faces criticism from Russian military bloggers.

According to several Telegram channels, among others VTsjK, the soldiers belonged to the 36th Motorized Infantry Brigade. They reside in the town of Borzja.

Some sources report 60 killed, others have the number 65. Nothing has been confirmed.

Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the allegations. For their part, they claim that Ukraine has lost 30 soldiers in the Kupyansk area in the last 24 hours.
