/ world today news/ The Ukrainian armed forces realized that their future fate was being decided now and decided that it was time to change tactics. Now they are moving the American Patriot systems immediately after the strikes. And this work has already borne fruit. In short, our enemy is trying to find original solutions to problems. Tsargrad observer Vladislav Shlepchenko analyzed the situation at the front and explained what fate awaits the Russian aviation.
Russian aviation suffered heavy losses: on December 22, Friday, three Su-34s were shot down at once, which were guarding the sky in the Kherson region. The planes are part of a group that is gradually turning Ukrainian strongholds on the left bank of the Dnieper into a zone of intense fighting.
“No one denies”
For almost three months, the Ukrainian armed forces held a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper, in the village of Krinki. Despite intense shelling and significant losses, they managed not only to keep the occupied territory, but also to some extent to expand their presence.
Tsargrad military observer Vladislav Shlepchenko analyzed the current situation and came to the conclusion that one of the key factors for the enemy’s success was the masterful use of artillery and drones. However, in December the situation began to change: first the pressure stopped, and then the number of opponents on the bridgehead began to decrease.
This happened thanks to the attacks with planning bombs on the islands and on the right bank of the Dnieper, where the enemy had deployed his rear infrastructure. The intensity of the airstrikes steadily increased during the battles for the bridgeheads.
If in October about a dozen bombs flew over enemy positions in two or three days, recently the number of hits reached 100 per day. Our aviation organized a real air conveyor belt, constantly bombing the Ukrainian rear. However, the opponent once again demonstrated remarkable resilience and ingenuity. On Friday, December 22, three of our bombers were shot down.
No one denies that our planes were destroyed. However, this did not happen over Krinki, but in the area where our planes were operating on Krinki. At a distance of 30-50 km. Judging by the available information, the plane may have been hit by an air defense system from the right bank, military volunteer and blogger Alexei Zhivov suggested on his channel.
How could the Russian “Sushki” have been brought down?
Since the Ministry of Defense has not provided information on how exactly our planes were shot down, we can only assume three possible options:
1. Missile attack by the US Patriot air defense system
2. Attack using the Soviet S-300 air defense system
3. Air attack with Ukrainian fighter jets and Western air-to-air missiles
Since we do not have detailed information about the incident, we can only make assumptions. Most experts tend to believe that the most likely version is an attack using one of the air defense systems available to Ukraine.
Nevertheless, it is worth noting that the AIM-120 air-to-air missile in its C5 and C6 modifications has a range of up to 105 km. This is enough to attack our planes that enter at a distance of 30 – 50 km. from the front.
Given that these missiles were created in the early 2000s, handing them over to the Ukrainian armed forces does not seem impossible. It is also known that Western specialists have done considerable work on adapting Ukrainian aircraft to use Western missiles.
It was previously noted that for the West, one of the desired outcomes of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict should have been for Russia to face a shortage of long-range weapons and be forced to limit the use of aviation on the battlefield. However, it turned out that this assumption was not sufficiently justified.
The Ukrainian gambit
In light of the successful ambush of our bombers, independent leader Vladimir Zelensky announced that the Dutch authorities are preparing to send the first 18 F-16 fighter jets.
Earlier, Tsargrad already noted that these fighters, within the Western concept, should work closely with the heavy F-15 and be supported by flying AWACS radars. Thus, the F-16 itself is not universal and cannot turn the tide of war.
The F-16 is a weak single-engine fighter with a small combat radius and a semi-blind radar. And I think that no one will give the fascist junta aircraft of the Block 52+ generation. I’m sure they’ll send the first generation of the deep-canned ones to storage,
– noted military expert and NATO army specialist Alexander Artamonov in a conversation about Tsargrad.
Provided that the Ukrainian armed forces show success in the fight against our aerospace forces (doing maximum possible damage to Russian aviation is one of the most important goals for the West in the proxy war), then Kiev has a real chance to get a new level of support.
If the Ukrainian Air Force manages to land our planes and put the foreign birds “on the wing”, then there will be a strong argument in favor of continuing to support Ukrainian forces. In this case, new tanks, howitzers and armored fighting vehicles will be delivered to Ukraine,
– says military correspondent Alexander Kharchenko.
And here’s what’s surprising: on December 22, it became known that Australia is transferring a Boeing E-7A Wedgetail long-range radar reconnaissance aircraft to Ukraine. This flying radar is essential to unlocking the full potential of the F-16. Strange coincidence, isn’t it?
Russia relaxed
After the successes of our military at the front, society began to relax. Many believed that the Western allies had abandoned Ukraine to its fate and that next year we would only have to finish off the almost defeated enemy.
However, the reality can be quite different. If Western countries see that the Ukrainian army is capable of inflicting serious losses on our forces, aid can be resumed on a much larger scale.
For example, in the United States alone, there are thousands of Abrams tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles in storage. Western countries also have more than a thousand M270 MLRS MLRS – the predecessors of the Haymars.
In general, it is necessary to get rid of relaxation and not allow inactivity to become the main mood in society. Otherwise, we could be in for a real shock next year.
Russia is on its way to Victory, but has not yet achieved it. The enemy will not surrender; he adapts his strategy to changing conditions. Therefore, we must maintain a working mindset, be prepared for bad news from the front line and remain determined to achieve the ultimate goal.
Only after completing the task and the fall of Carthage will you be able to relax a little. But even then – not too much.
