Ukrainian Forces Shoot Down Russian Ka-52 Helicopter: Edelweiss Brigade Releases Video Evidence

Soldiers of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” showed a video of a Russian helicopter shot down in the east today.

The General Staff informed the Russians about the downing of the Alligator tonight, but did not provide details.

Armed Forces of Ukraine clarifiedthat the “edelweiss” shot down the Ka-52.

“Edelweiss” showed a video after the attack on the Ka-52 – at that time another helicopter of the invaders flew to save it. Ukrainian defenders claim that he was also hit, but still managed to escape.

The 10th brigade reported that the Ka-52 was shot down while attempting an air raid on the positions of the Edelweiss.

“Thanks to the attentiveness and professionalism of our anti-aircraft units, he was immediately shot down. Another suicide bomber arrived by helicopter to evacuate the first one, but was also damaged. Unfortunately, he managed to escape, leaving his “brother,” the message says.

REFERENCE. The Ka-52 Alligator is a new generation Russian helicopter that has been in operation since 2011. It has a laser-guided cannon, an anti-tank missile system and other weapons. The cost of one helicopter is about $16 million. Russian propaganda called it a “flying tank”.
