Ukrainian defense forces have already liberated most of the village of Kleshcheevka on the southern flank of Bakhmut, the enemy is retreating.
The village of Kleshcheevka, south of Bakhmut, will soon be completely liberated from Russian occupation. Already, the Ukrainian Armed Forces control most of the settlement.
Such information shared in an interview with Maxim Zhorin, deputy commander of the 3rd assault brigade, which is leading the offensive in this sector of the front.
“More than half of the village is controlled by Ukrainian forces. There is a small number left, probably one and a half streets, which the enemy is still partially trying to control, but he is doing very poorly, he has to retreat little by little. Along the entire line Kleshcheevka – Andreevka – Kurdyumovka the enemy suffers huge losses in personnel every day and is forced to roll back. They just create new positions for themselves on the fly and try to gain a foothold in them.“- said Zhorin.
It’s a good news. And the bad thing, in his words, is that there is nothing left of the village, there is not a single house there that has not been destroyed, and today the village of Kleshcheevka can only be called conditionally.
“The Russians destroyed almost everything that was there. Sometimes it’s even difficult to guess where the street was, the border between houses. These are just ruins, and there is a fight for these ruins“, said the deputy commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Let us note that in the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops chose pincer tactics. They break through the Russian defenses in the north and south, encircling the settlement. Already, several overwhelming heights are under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as a result of which the Russians’ stay in Bakhmut has become completely uncomfortable.
Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted successful battles against the enemy on the southern outskirts of Kleshcheevka.
