The Ukrainians in subgroup C remained in third place with three points and a negative difference between goals scored and lost -1. Five years ago, when the playoffs were the same, none of the teams made it to the eighth final with such a balance.
However, Slovakia and Finland, which also scored three points each in the sub-groups, scored worse on the difference between goals scored and lost, paving the way for Ukraine to reach the eighth final.
Before the last two battles of subgroup F, Italy, Wales, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, England, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, France, Spain and Ukraine took the place in the eighth final.
In Subgroup F, the German-Hungarian match will start at 10 pm in Munich, while the Portuguese and French strengths will take place in Budapest.
The remaining two places are claimed by Germany, Hungary and Portugal, as well as Finland, which has not yet lost hope of entering the eighth final.
In sub-group F, France is the first to score four points, Germany and Portugal three points each, and the punks to Hungary. The French have already secured a place in the playoffs, Germany and Portugal may have a tie, but Hungary’s chances are only theoretical, as they need a convincing victory over Germany.
In the final tournament of the European Championship, 24 teams are divided into six subgroups of four each. The two best teams will automatically qualify for the first round or the eighth final of the elimination tournament, as well as the four best third place winners.
