Ukrainian Embassy Reacts Strongly to Statements by Bulgarian Politicians
The Ukrainian Embassy has strongly condemned statements made by individual representatives of political parties in the Republic of Bulgaria against the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, according to a statement by the diplomatic mission.
“We particularly note that ambitions to redraw the map of Europe and incite the annexation of Ukrainian territory are a classic manifestation of support for Russian revanchism,” the embassy added.
The Ukrainian Embassy sharply condemns attempts to question the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the spirit of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Bulgaria, signed in 1992.
Such statements pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine, and as a result, the Ukrainian side will take all preventive and protective measures provided for in national legislation and international law.
