Ukrainian Double-Bassist Yuri Natsvlishvili Performs Live with Latvian Jazz Quartet on Latvian Radio: Acoustic Alternative Jazz and Original Compositions

On October 30, a Ukrainian double-bass player will play live and online in the studio of Latvian Radio 1 Yuri Natsvlišvili jazz quartet, in which saxophonist Kārlis Auziņš, trumpeter Dima Bondarev and percussionist Ivars Arutjunjans also play. Yuri Natsvlishvili’s original compositions will be played, which combine acoustic alternative jazz, bright melodies and improvisations.

Yuriy Natsvlishvili is a Ukrainian double bass player, composer and bass guitarist. He played the violin as a child, studied at the Sergei Prokofiev Music College in Donetsk, later moved to Kyiv, where he became widely known in the Ukrainian jazz and pop music scene. Collaborated with such musicians as Olegs Skripka, Gaitana, Alyona Alyona, Kosheen, Bahroma, Flexible Chaplin, Deniss Adu, Big Jump bigbends, Olga Lukakhova, Natalia Lebedeva and many others. Since 2022, Jurijs has called Riga his home, although he admits that, of course, he misses Ukraine very much… Here Jurijs got to know local musicians, with whom he gave concerts in various cultural places of Latvia.
