How many missiles has Russia launched since February 24, 2022?
As of December 21, according to Yuri Ignat, Russia launched more than 7,400 missiles of various types into Ukraine. Air defense forces and means were able to shoot down about 1,600 missiles. However, Ignat emphasized that they are talking about all types of weapons – S-300, S-400, Kh-22 and ballistic missiles.
The Air Force added that Russia has already used about a third of all S-300 and S-400 missiles. The enemy also used about 900 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
The Russians also launched about 3,700 Shaheds, of which 2,900 were shot down by air defense forces. It should also be added here that the invaders first began using them in September 2022. Then for the Ukrainian defenders it was a new weapon and the shootdown rate was lower. However, air defense forces and means on average destroy about 80% of kamikaze drones.
