Ukrainian plans have expired
The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov confirmed the president’s words Volodymyr Zelensky, that plans for the Ukrainian counteroffensive on the front have leaked and are sitting on Vladimir Putin’s desk.
“We have information, evidence that the plans have become known to the Russian Federation. This is a serious problem and we are taking measures”Budanov said in an interview with CBC News.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive in the summer of 2023 did not lead to positive results for ZSU at the front. Information about when and where the Ukrainian army would attack was thought to be the best-kept secret in the country, but it turned out that there had been a leak.
He also commented on the possibility of war frozen. According to Budanov, the Russians would be very “happy” from a similar scenario.
“The Russians would be very happy to freeze everything as it is now. To make us recognize the territories they occupied as theirs. And they will celebrate this victory. But that will never happen.”
said Budanov.
The head of military intelligence also commented on the change of military leadership in the country. Budanov didn’t say it outright, but hinted that Zelensky made the right decision by firing Zaluzhny.
“If everything is good and everything is wonderful and everything is done right, then why are we in the situation we are in?” asked Budanov, quoted by fakti.bg.
