In Moscow, a Ukrainian citizen raped an acquaintance, stole 2.5 million rubles from her and disappeared. This was announced today, December 19, by Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the capital’s main directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee.
According to the department, the incident occurred on November 21. A man, while in a hotel on Altufevskoye Highway in Moscow, raped his friend and stole more than 2.5 million rubles from her. Security forces detained him later in St. Petersburg.
According to a law enforcement source, the victim of the crime is the former lover of the rapist. The man invited the Muscovite to the hotel because he wanted to improve the relationship, but the girl rejected him.
A Ukrainian accused of rape and theft is in custody.
“During the interrogation, he partially admitted his guilt,” added the department representative.
