The artist denied his silence and admitted that he recorded the video with the rest of the theater artists.
Ukrainian choreographer and choreographer Radu Poklitar clearly explained his civic position and why he does not speak out publicly.
Yes, in interview for the TSN.ua YouTube project “Naodintsi”, the celebrity noted that, in fact, even at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, together with the theater’s acting team, he recorded a video in which he recognized the actions of the Russian Federation as genocide of the Ukrainian people. And he added that he did not speak out again because he believes that words alone cannot erase the painful losses of our defenders in the war.
“A collective video of our theater was released, which we made together with the artists. There can be no other options here. This is absolutely a fantastic war in its cruelty and unjustification. This is, of course, genocide, murder. Definitely. From the fact that I will voice it again since nothing will actually change. Unfortunately, I won’t save a single life with this,” said the choreographer.
Radu Poklitaru assures that his theater troupe has completely abandoned the repertoire associated with Russian culture:
“I have definitely defined everything for myself. They offer me to stage “The Queen of Spades” (Tchaikovsky’s ballet – editor’s note), but I refuse, because I don’t think it brings any actual benefit. Just a refusal of Tchaikovsky’s ballet and music “I did not save a single life at the front and did not save a single child. But my inner feeling as a person, first of all, believes that now is not the time. Right now, in the acute phase, there is no need to popularize Russian culture,” Radu emphasized.
We would like to remind you that Radu Poklitaru previously commented rumors of an affair with the singer Natalia Mogilevskaya and answered whether there really was something between them. The choreographer also answered why he did not congratulate the artist on motherhood.
