Ukrainian Army’s Last Defense Line at Risk as Slavyansk and Kramatorsk Prepares for Defense

Kyiv security services have begun a forced evacuation of the population from Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, located on the territory of the DPR, which is currently controlled by Kyiv. All evacuees are taken to the regions of Western Ukraine.

Kiev is intensively preparing Slavyansk and Kramatorsk for defense, and special concrete shelters are being installed on the streets of the cities, which can be used as firing points, as well as shelters from shells in case of shelling, the news agencies report.

At the same time, the population is being driven out of the cities, and by force.

A forced evacuation is underway, with special attention being paid to children, who in some cases are taken away from their parents, said a serviceman from the Russian troops group “South”.

The evacuation of the civilian population is also confirmed in Chasov Yar, where the headquarters of the command of the “Vostok” group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, led by General Sirsky, is currently located.

According to the Ukrainian military, the only people left in the city are those who want to wait for the arrival of Russian troops, who anyway fall under the category of “separatists” and “traitors”.

Earlier in Donetsk, they said that the capture of Bakhmut opened the way for Russian troops to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, which are the main defense centers of the armed forces of Ukraine in Donbass.

The capture of these cities will make it possible to break through the last and main line of defense of the Ukrainian army, military analysts say.

Before that, however, it is necessary to interrupt the counteroffensive of the armed forces of Ukraine, which is already starting. Attempts to break through the Armed Forces of Ukraine are observed in the southern Donetsk direction.
