The Ukrainian army continues to advance in the regions of Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk. In places, the armed forces of Ukraine have taken positions and are strengthening them, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
The information is from a post on the Facebook social network of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army. They note from there that the defense forces have recaptured territories in the areas of Novodanilovka – Shiroka Balka and Mala Tokmachka – Novopokrovka, having strengthened the captured combat positions, maintaining artillery fire on unidentified enemy targets and applying anti-battery countermeasures.
The enemy is fiercely resisting, moving combat units to the front line and actively using its combat reserves, Ukrinform also reports.
“In the Bakhmut sector, our fighters continue to take offensive actions to the north and south of Bakhmut. Here, on the southern flank of the offensive, we have partial success. Our fighters are strengthening their positions,” announced the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army.
From February 24, 2022 (the beginning of the war in Ukraine – note ed.) until today, the defense forces of Ukraine have eliminated about 236,040 Russian invaders, Ukrinform states.
