Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down two Russian warplanes on Monday, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk said.
As Oleschuk informed, a fighter-bomber Su-34 and a fighter Su-35S were shot down in the eastern direction.
“This is our land and our sky! Thank you all for the battle action! To be continued!” writes Oleschuk on social networks.
The information about the downing of the planes was also confirmed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Sirsky, who also thanked the Air Force for what it had done.
As reported, on February 17, the Ukrainian army shot down three Russian warplanes – two Su-34 and one Su-35.
Another Su-34 was shot down the next day.
Total Russian aviation losses by Monday morning reached 336 aircraft and 325 helicopters.
