The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) demilitarized one of the Kremlin’s propagandists – Boris Maksudov, a correspondent of “Rossiya 24”.
He was injured on Wednesday as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack in Zaporozhye region. Maksudov died on the way to the town of Dzhankoy in the Crimean peninsula temporarily occupied by the Russians.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on November 22 that the Ukrainian military had attacked a group of Russian journalists. The agency initially reported that “there is no danger to Maksudov’s life”.
A few months ago, Boris Maksudov filmed a report from the city of Mariupol in Southeastern Ukraine, which was destroyed by Russian terrorists. In his report, he presented the occupiers as heroes and saviors who built new homes for the population. Maksudov has also authored other propaganda reports, including about an influx of Russian passport seekers into the DPR, the imaginary republic that Russia recognizes as its own.
At the beginning of the invasion, Maksudov also filmed a report on “a humanitarian column of Russian military equipment headed for Kiev.” Unfortunately for Russian military correspondents, Operation Kiev in 3 Days did not end well for the Russian military.
The head of the Union of Journalists of Russia (SJR) Vladimir Solovyov expressed condolences on behalf of the organization in connection with the death of the military correspondent, noting that the journalist deserves to receive a state award.
