From the beginning of 2024 until now, the Ukrainian air defense forces have already destroyed 359 suicide bombers that Russia launched against our state. Forty of them – only at night from 10 to 11 February.
Shocking figures were announced in the evening treatment President Vladimir Zelensky to the Ukrainians. Using simple mathematical calculations, it is already possible to compare the average number of drone attacks this year and last: 359 “shaheds” – that’s 8.5 per day, while for the whole of 2023 there were 2576 UAVs – 7.7 per day.
The head of state emphasized that almost the entire result was ensured by mobile fire groups. It is the accuracy of the sky defenders, the work of electronic warfare and the support of air shield partners that ensure the lives of our citizens are saved.
“We are working to add more efficiency to our mobile fire groups and so that even more regions of Ukraine receive electronic warfare systems. This is one of the key priorities of the year,” the head of state emphasized.
According to him, enemy drones fell in different regions of the state: Kiev region, Zhytomyr region, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Kirovograd, Cherkasy regions, Dnieper region.
The Ukrainian leader especially noted the staff of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who work at the sites of shelling, clear the rubble and save people.
“And this is also the functionality of our state, this is also the heroism of our people, all those people who simply do their job and thereby help the whole of Ukraine to survive,” Zelensky emphasized.
Separately, the president noted several rescuers from different regions of the country:
– employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkov region – chief master sergeants Dmitry Pavinsky, Denis Shapovalov, Alexey Nazarenko, captain Artem Egorov and lieutenant colonel Sergey Azartsov.
– Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region – sergeants Dmitry Pikh and Vasily Levkov, master sergeant Igor Ponomarenko, chief master sergeants Nikolay Bashlyk and Sergey Kurichenko, as well as Major Alexander Dovgopol.
– Workers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv – civil protection service sergeants Taras Romantsov, Orest Gavrilyuk, Sergey Bespaly, master sergeant Ivan Kagarlytsky and chief master sergeant Alexander Shostka.
As OBOZ.UA reported:
– February 11 Zelensky appointed new commanders of various branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev was replaced as commander of the OS by Yuri Sodol, and the ex-head of KOVA and former deputy of Reznikov Alexander Pavlyuk headed the Ground Forces.
– February 10, President of Ukraine had a telephone conversation with a French colleague Emmanuel Macron. As part of the Artillery Coalition, Paris produces and will transfer to Ukraine dozens of Caesar artillery systems, as well as shells for them.
