Ukrainian Agrarian Council and Milk Producers Plan Mirror Protest Against Poland’s Blockade on Agricultural Products

Innovation in action

The All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council and the Association of Milk Producers are planning, in response to the protest initiated by Polish farmers against the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Poland, to hold a mirror protest, blocking the movement of Polish trucks through 4 international checkpoints.

It says in a statement “All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council”.

It is emphasized that Ukrainian agricultural producers block the movement of Polish trucks through 4 international checkpoints: in front of the Dorogusk – Yagodin checkpoint from Ukraine; in the town of Krakovets near the international checkpoint “Krakowets-Korchova”; in with. Rata near the international checkpoint “Rava-Russkaya”; in with. Shegini near the international checkpoint “Shegini-Medica, in the village of Starovoitovo, Pogranichnikov st. 1.

It is planned that the action will begin on June 10 at 10:00 and will last until 00:00 on June 14.

“The holding of the event is due to the categorical disagreement of Ukrainian farmers with the actions of the Polish side, which unilaterally, violating the EU trade rules and the decision of the European Commission to resume the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products, continue to physically block trucks from Ukraine to the territory of Poland.

With this position, Polish farmers play into the hands of Putin, because they want Ukrainian grain to simply remain in Ukraine, while prices rise. This is what they want in the Russian Federation,” the statement said.

Recall:

Polish protesters blocked traffic through the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, Ukrainian drivers are asked to choose alternative customs points for crossing the border.

According to EP, the strike is carried out by Polish farmers.

The previous strike at the same checkpoint took place in May and lasted more than 10 days, creating significant losses for Ukrainian carriers and exporters. The reason was the strikes of Polish carriers.

The checkpoint “Yagodin – Dorogusk” provides about 40% of the traffic.

In September last year, “Yagodin – Dorogusk” was blocked by a line of trucks up to 60 km long. This happened due to the low throughput of customs and the strike from the Polish side.
