“Everything that is impossible today will be possible tomorrow. Iris-T, Samp-T, NASAMS, Crotale, all this serves and protects our sky. Therefore, the aircraft will also be of the fourth generation, plus or minus, unequivocally,” the minister said.
In response to the question why the partners are delaying the delivery of aircraft to Ukraine, Reznikov replied that having decided to give combat aircraft, it will be necessary to give time for their preparation, checking the technical condition and training of Ukrainian pilots.
However, according to the minister, everything will not end there, the partners will continue to have to maintain the aircraft in proper condition, as well as provide them with weapons: bombs and missiles.
“This is a very expensive story. This is the most expensive story. They consciously and responsibly want to reach the finish line of this marathon, namely, to the victory of Ukraine,” he said.
Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine would launch a counteroffensive without waiting for the F-16 from the allies.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the discussion on the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine continues.
As explained in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our country wants to get the F-16 because of their versatility. Since the pilots would be able to perform both combat missions and strengthen the protection of the sky.
