Ukraine will more strictly suppress the actions of violators of the law. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky after the arrest of Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky.
“There will be no more years of “business as usual” for those who plundered Ukraine and placed themselves above the law and any rules. And I thank the Ukrainian law enforcement officers for their determination to bring to a fair result each of the cases that have been hampered for decades, ”Zelensky said in a video message published on his telegram channel.
The court in Kyiv sent Kolomoisky into custody for 60 days (until October 31). The businessman is charged under two criminal articles: fraud and legalization of property obtained by criminal means. Four years ago, Kolomoisky was one of those who helped Zelensky come to power in Ukraine.
