Today, according to them, this figure is allegedly close to 90%, while 100% of the rockets fired at the city since April 28 have been destroyed over Kiev.

“Numbers of 90-100% of enemy missiles being shot down – this may be the result of one combat operation. Tomorrow it may be different. These percentages apply only to those types of missiles that can shoot down the air defense that we have. And there are also missiles that we do not we can shoot down. The same applies to aircraft,” explains Ignat.

Ignat stressed that the length of the borders of Ukraine is 2,500 kilometers, of which a significant part is the front line. According to him, Ukraine is indeed enhanced by new Western models of air defense systemshowever, in order to “more or less cover” the entire territory of Ukraine, more such complexes are needed.

The S-300 and Buk M1 remain the backbone of the Ukrainian Air Force.

“From the widespread information, it may seem that Ukraine no longer needs new air defense systems. But this is not so.
