As of the morning of December 26, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine is 38.15 hryvnia, the euro exchange rate is 41.95 hryvnia.
At exchange offices they buy a dollar for an average of 37.65 hryvnia, and a euro for 41.25 hryvnia.
On the interbank market, the rate today is at the level of 37.52-37.55 (purchase and sale) – no changes compared to the close of the previous day.
Official rate
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has again reduced the dollar exchange rate. The dollar fell in price for the second day in a row after two weeks of growth.
The official exchange rate for December 26, 2023 is set at the following level: 37.5225 hryvnia per 1 dollar (-0.0300 UAH). The euro exchange rate will be 41.3611 hryvnia per 1 euro (-0.0142 UAH).
Course forecast
As Taras Lesovoy, head of the treasury department at Globus Bank, said in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine, in the last week of December the trend towards gradual convergence of interbank and cash market rates will continue.
According to his forecast, the limits of exchange rate fluctuations in the cash market will most likely be at the level of 37-38 UAH/dollar and 39-41 UAH/euro,
At the same time, the NBU warned about the negative impact on the foreign exchange market of delaying with the help of Ukraine
