Ukraine’s Comprehensive Offer for Latin America: Four Key Elements

Ukraine has a unique comprehensive offer for the countries of Latin America, which consists of four main elements.

This was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, in a column for “RBK-Ukraine” entitled “Latin America as a key to strengthening the positions of Ukraine”, Ukrinform reports.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that Latin America is one of the most promising regions of the Global South, a growing economic and political power and a space of dynamic development.

“The most influential international players are already going there to increase their presence and strengthen economic cooperation…Ukraine has a unique and comprehensive offer for Latin American countries, consisting of four main elements”Kuleba said.

According to him, this includes commissions. According to the foreign minister, despite the fact that most Latin American countries are agro-industrial, they all need provisions and are still not protected from the food crisis.

They are another element highly educated personnel. In this context, Kuleba recalled that during the last 10-15 years, Ukraine trained 600-700 qualified specialists annually for Latin American countries. “It is important to revive and strengthen this vector of work. Ukrainian professionals in the world are our intellectual added value, which strengthens Ukraine’s cooperation and authority in the international arena,” the minister emphasized.

The third component of the overall offer is Ukrainian technological equipment for the rapid development of Latin American industries. “All continental and some island countries in Latin America have developed mining industries that require equipment and machinery. We have always been one of the traditional suppliers of power equipment for hydroelectric and thermal power plants.

Fourth, most Latin American countries are interested in Ukraine’s world-class experience and achievements in digitalisation, cyber security, IT and creative industriesKuleba said.

He also emphasized that Ukraine exports not only goods and technology. “We export security, confidence, predictability, maximum transparency and trust, as well as an attractive vision of a new world order that Ukrainians defend with guns in hand”emphasized the head of Ukrainian diplomacy.
