Ukraine’s air defenses are powerful enough against modern Russian fighter jets

“The fighting in north-west Kyiv continues with Russian forces failing to make any significant breakthroughs,” the British Ministry of Defense wrote.

In addition, the British Ministry of Defense also reported a number of cities in Ukraine that are still under siege by Russian troops.

The British Ministry of Defense said Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mariupol were still under siege by Russian forces and continued to suffer heavy attacks.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday (8/3/2022) pleaded with the West to recognize Russia as a “terrorist state”.

He also urged the British parliament to impose more penalties on Moscow and send military aid to Ukraine.

“We seek your help, for the help of civilized countries,” Zelensky said The Hill.

He also called for the West to impose a no -fly zone over Ukraine.

“And please recognize this country (Russia) as a terrorist state, and please ensure that our Ukrainian skies are safe,” Zelensky said.

“Please make sure that you do what needs to be done and what the greatness of your country dictates,” Zelensky added.

Zelensky delivered his speech virtually from Kyiv, Ukraine. Currently, the Ukrainian capital is surrounded by Russian troops.
