– admitted the artist in an interview with Onet Kultura.

“Stefania” it is a kind of longing ode to a mother to whom the lyrical subject owes much – his own strength and determination, and even a sense of rhythm, which he attributes to his mother’s frequent cradling of him. The repetitive phrase: “Sing me a lullaby, I want to hear your tender words again” is particularly touching and is a lyrical folk counterpoint to the dynamic hip-hop whole.

The piece was premiered on February 6, 2022 on YouTube. On February 12, it was presented during Ukrainian national Eurovision selections Vidbirin which he finished second. The selection was won by Alina Pasz with the piece, but the artist was disqualified after the scandal related to her unclear ties with Russia. Eurovision 2022. Krystian Ochman in the final. How did the Pole go?

Ultimately, Krystian Ochman came 12th with 151 points. After the national jury votes, the Pole was in the 14th place with 46 points. In the viewers’ vote he obtained 105 points.

We learned from the artist’s social media what his last hours before today’s concert looked like. The RockHouse_Official Instagram page showed Ochman arriving at the Eurovision arena where he greeted fans outside. The Pole also instructed, inter alia, foreign tourists, how to properly hold the Polish flag.

– Honestly: his song is very strange, but the singer himself is very skilled. It’s hard to judge his chances as I don’t know the other songs. For me, Eurovision has been a mystery for many years because it can really surprise you. Maybe this year’s surprise will be Ochman’s victory? We’ll see soon, but I would like to emphasize – our representative sings quite cleanly, which is a big plus, but he could have a much better song – commented in an interview with Onet Elżbieta Zapendowska.
