Ukraine will reduce the validity of COVID certificates to nine months

The shortening of the validity period of certificates in Ukraine should be legalized this week.

Ukraine, following the EU countries, will shorten the validity of vaccination certificates against coronavirus. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development Maria Karchevich on the air of the program on 1+1.

We are talking about the “green” COVID-certificate, which indicates the receipt of two doses of the vaccine. According to the new rules, adopted in December, in the 27 EU countries this document will be active for 270 days – nine months, not a year. The innovation in the EU countries will start working on February 1.

Karchevich said that the parliament would prepare a similar decision so that the COVID certificates of Ukrainians would also be valid for only 270 days instead of 365, as previously assumed. According to forecasts, the issue of reducing the validity of the certificates will be decided this week.

As reported Ukraine will join the global network of COVID certificates, which will allow citizens to travel to most countries of the world without PCR tests and self-isolation.

We will remind, earlier in the Ministry of Health it was explained, why the police have the right to require a COVID certificate… It turns out that vaccination information is not a medical secret.
