Ukraine will receive light tanks from France within the next week

“AMX-10”, which have been used since the 80s of the last century, are relatively very light and mobile. They’re old, but they’re working well, a French official said earlier.

“AMX-10” are usually used for reconnaissance and attacks on enemy tanks.

French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecorny revealed in an interview to the newspaper “Le Parisien” that the first light tanks will be delivered to Ukraine by the next weekend.

The minister did not reveal how many “AMX-10” will be delivered to Ukraine in the first shipment, stating that he does not want to give Russia any strategic information.

French President Emmanuel Macron promised to supply Ukraine with “AMX-10” at the beginning of January, and Lecorny revealed that the training of Ukrainian soldiers in the use of these light tanks is already almost completed.
