German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that it will take Ukraine 100 years to cope with the consequences of the war with Russia due to unexploded shells and bombs that will remain in the ground. About it informs news agency AFP.

The politician added that Western countries will have to help Ukraine together in order to rebuild it as soon as possible after the end of the war. Scholz also said that in Germany, 77 years after the end of World War II, bombs are still being found and defused.

“Those who live in Germany know that we still find the bombs that fell during World War II… Ukraine will have to deal with the consequences of this war for another hundred years. stay in the ground,” he said.

Recall, Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, said that losses of Ukraine during the war with Russia have already amounted to $ 600 billion. Russia has destroyed 535 kindergartens, 866 schools and universities, 231 medical institutions and 173 factories in the country.
