US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken claims that Ukraine will join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). IS informs that it is only a matter of preparing a clear road map towards this goal.
“As declared by the NATO allies at the July 2023 summit meeting in Vilnius, Ukraine will become a member of NATO. The main issue for us is to prepare a good and clear road map to achieve this result,” Blinken said at a joint press conference after his meeting with French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne in Paris.
According to the head of the US foreign policy department, the participants of the upcoming NATO summit this summer will pay great attention to the discussion of Ukraine’s prospects for joining the alliance and will discuss “very concretely” how the above-mentioned road map can be prepared. Blinken called it “a bridge necessary for Ukraine to become a member of NATO.”
