/ world today news/ The Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria expressed indignation that the BNT 1 television channel of the Bulgarian national television aired a map on which Crimea is designated as Russian territory, “Arguments and Facts” reported on Sunday (January 31).
The map with Russian Crimea appeared in the central news on January 25, RIA Novosti reported. Representatives of the television channel described the incident as a technical error.
At the beginning of January, discontent in Kiev caused a map published by the Italian publication Limes, on which Crimea was also designated as part of Russia. Coca Cola then published a map of Russia that did not include Crimea, Kaliningrad Oblast and the Kuril Islands. The map was later corrected, which angered Ukraine.
Crimea in Russia was also discovered by Ukrainian activists on PepsiCo cards.
Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia after a referendum held on March 16, 2014, “Arguments and Facts” recalls.
