Kiev, Russian retreat in the Severdonetsk area
The Russian army suffered significant losses and was forced to retreat in the Severdonetsk, Toshkivka and Oskolonivka area, in the Lugansk region of Ukraine (east): the head of the Ukrainian regional military administration, Serhii Gaidai, said on Telegram, according to as reported by the Ukrinform agency. Gaidai pointed out that the Russians were forced to retreat to their previous positions and another bridge between Severdonetsk and Lysychansk was damaged. “However, (the Russians) are not abandoning their attempts to go to the rear of our troops and stop logistical supplies in the Lugansk region,” continued Gaidai. “The enemy bombed Severdonetsk several times, there were at least three heavy bombings and street fighting broke out in some places. As a result, 14 apartment buildings were damaged. The nearby village of Synetskyi … was also severely bombed” .
